Dallas Mavericks star David Lee is dealing with a partially torn right plantar fascia, which requires his foot to be in a protective walking boot, and he will not participate in the rest of the team's series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Lee Ruled Out for Series   Monday, April 25 Tim MacMahon of ESPN reported that Lee played the previous two games with a torn plantar fascia but has been sidelined for the remainder of the first-round series as the Mavericks try to avoid elimination.

Lee's Absence Will Expose Lack of Frontcourt Depth Lee played sparingly throughout the 2015-16 campaign, first with the Boston Celtics and then in Dallas once the Celtics had waived him. He was extremely proficient in 25 contests for the Mavs, averaging 8.5 points and seven rebounds in only 17.3 minutes per game.

The 32-year-old veteran offers vital frontcourt depth for Dallas, particularly at the 4 position, long occupied by face of the franchise Dirk Nowitzki, who's even later in his career than Lee is.
