Denver Nuggets forward Darrell Arthur left Tuesday's game against the Orlando Magic with a knee injury.

Arthur Will Not Return vs. Magic Tuesday, Dec. 8 Arthur is dealing with soreness in his right knee and will not play for the remainder of the game against Orlando, according to Nuggets PR. No updates were provided on when he'll be able to return to action.

Despite coming into Tuesday's meeting with the Magic at 8-13, the Nuggets have exceeded most expectations. One of those reasons has been the veteran leadership displayed by Arthur, who's averaging a career-high 20.6 minutes per game and averaging seven points per game.

Arthur has been a reliable backup to Kenneth Faried and has even played some minutes at small forward when the Nuggets want to play bigger lineups. He doesn't provide the athleticism Faried does while coming off the pick and roll and attacking the basket, but he's a reliable defender in the post and can grab rebounds.

That kind of player is what a young Nuggets team needs. It's essential for Denver's growth that he gets back to the court as soon as possible.   ...
