Daniel Hamilton Declares for 2016 NBA Draft: Latest Comments and Reaction

After two years with the Connecticut Huskies, guard Daniel Hamilton is going to see how his skills translate to the NBA.

On Friday, CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein reported Hamilton is declaring for the NBA draft but won't hire an agent. 

Hamilton is making an interesting choice to leave college, assuming he stays in the draft. The benefit of not hiring an agent is that he can withdraw his name after receiving evaluations from teams. 

It will be intriguing to see what NBA scouts say to Hamilton. The sophomore did increase his performance in several key categories last season, averaging 12.5 points, 8.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game, but he shot just 38.7 percent from the field.

Jason McIntyre of the Big Lead listed Hamilton among the players who could have a Buddy Hield-like rise if they return to school next year.
