Tonight there won’t be any Cleveland media asking the Cavaliers management why they couldn’t keep LeBron James.

There is much fan anger in Cleveland and it’s easy to blame No. 23 for everything that happened during the negotiations. It must be good for the ratings.

A reporter can make themselves very popular in Cleveland by joining with the masses in bashing LeBron James, but let me go a step further: if you stand on LeBron's side, your career in the Cleveland media will probably be over.

Can we agree on that?

Before I continue, I want to give you the urban definition of the term “wagging the dog.” Please read it carefully, is important you understand the concept.

Wagging the Dog: “To cause a desired result by means other than the obvious or rational method. Imagine you want a dog to wag its tail. You should make the dog happy, and the tail will wag. If you can't or won't make the dog happy, you can get the tail to wag by wagging the dog.'"
