Thunder 118, Mavericks 104—Final

The Oklahoma City Thunder finished off the Dallas Mavericks with a 118-104 triumph in Game 5 of the first-round Western Conference matchup Monday.

Russell Westbrook racked up 36 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists, while Kevin Durant netted 33 points to help the Thunder win the series 4-1.

OKC's shaky defense allowed Dallas to hang around until the fourth quarter, but the Thunder finished the last four minutes on an 11-1 run. The Mavericks missed their final nine shots.

Dirk Nowitzki scored a team-best 24 points, and Dwight Powell recorded 16 points and nine boards off the bench. David Lee (heel) and Deron Williams (hernia) were unavailable.

Steven Adams tallied 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Thunder, who advanced to face the San Antonio Spurs in the second round.
