The Golden State Warriors earned a 116-95 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at Oracle Arena on Wednesday night.

Klay Thompson started the rout with an 18-point first quarter. Both he and Kevin Durant hit their first seven shots from the floor, helping Golden State take a 67-36 advantage at halftime and eventually improve to 6-2 on the season.

Durant scored a game-high 28 points, while Stephen Curry tallied 24 and Klay Thompson netted 20. Draymond Green added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the win.

The Mavericks (2-6) put together a valiant comeback effort, cutting a 33-point deficit to 13. However, their short-handed roster didn't have enough firepower. Dirk Nowitzki, Deron Williams, Devin Harris, Andrew Bogut, Wes Matthews and J.J. Barea were all sidelined.
