Daily Fantasy Basketball 2015: DraftKings Breakout DFS Rookies and Sleepers

There are several superstars to choose from when selecting a DraftKings NBA lineup Friday, including LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, James Harden and Paul George.  But with 22 teams in action, there's also plenty of opportunity to think outside the box and employ players who aren't used as frequently.

Here are some first-year guys and potentially overlooked veterans who might be useful in separating yourself from the competition.

 

Breakout Rookies

PG Emmanuel Mudiay, Denver Nuggets ($6,000) vs. Houston Rockets



The No. 7 pick in last June's draft, Emmanuel Mudiay has been one of the most impactful new faces in the league so far in 2015-16.

Mudiay is averaging 30.8 minutes per game, second among rookies to Jahlil Okafor. The Nuggets point guard also has the second-highest usage percentage of any first-year player.

In Wednesday's matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks, Mudiay posted a career-high 11 assists in 35 minutes, as well as a personal-best 39.75 fantasy points. His salary has actually dropped $200 since November 6, despite averaging 36.6 fantasy ...
