Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry took sole possession of an all-time NBA record during Thursday's 130-114 win over the Orlando Magic, recording his 128th consecutive regular-season game with at least one three-pointer made, per NBA History.
The old record of 127 games was set by Atlanta Hawks guard Kyle Korver, who made at least one three-point shot in every appearance between Nov. 4, 2012 and March 2, 2014, obliterating the longstanding mark of 89 games that was set by Dana Barros as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics from 1994 to 1996, per GSWStats.
Curry didn't exactly limp to the new record, making 10 of his 15 three-point attempts (and 20 of his 27 field-goal attempts) in a 51-point, seven-rebound, eight-assist performance on Thursday night.
Per Elias Sports Bureau (h/t ESPN Stats & Info), he became the first player in NBA history to record a 50-point performance with one or fewer free-throw attempts, with his lone try from the charity stripe completing an and-1 play at the end of the first quarter.
