Curry Has 404 Points Through 1st 12 Games of Season

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry has poured in 404 points so far this season, tying Michael Jordan for the second-most points scored through the first 12 games of a campaign since 1992-93, per Sportsnet Stats.

The 27-year-old superstar has at least 22 points in every contest this season, most recently scoring 37 in Tuesday's 115-100 win over the Toronto Raptors.

His Warriors are off to a sterling 12-0 start, with Curry's averages of 33.7 points, 5.9 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 steals playing a huge role in the early-season dominance.

Even more impressive, he has made 52.1 percent of his shots from the floor and 45.6 percent of his three-pointers, despite leading the league in both field-goal attempts (21.6) and three-point attempts (11.3) per game.

The remarkable combination of volume and efficiency makes Curry a runaway favorite to win the MVP award for a second straight season, even though the current campaign is only about 15 percent completed.
