Craig Sager and Gregg Popovich Have Touching Pregame Moment, in-Game Interview

For as much fun as San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has had with Turner Sports sideline reporter Craig Sager through the years, he's just glad to see his pal back on the job.

Sager was diagnosed with leukemia in April 2014 and had to step away from his job while undergoing treatment. Now, he is back on the sideline—and Popovich couldn't be happier. (You may recall that the Spurs coach had given Sager a shoutout during an interview with one of the reporter's sons, Craig Sager Jr., back in 2014.)

The two reunited in the locker room before Thursday night's game between the Spurs and Memphis Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum. Happy to see Sager back in action, Popovich greeted the reporter with open arms.

When it came time for the in-game interview, Popovich went away from his usual style and opened up with Sager. It was just the coach's way of showing how glad he was to have the reporter back on the sideline.
