Over the last few years, I have been really impressed with Roger Goodell and David Stern as they have revamped the images of the NFL and the NBA, respectively.
In each league, drastic changes to conduct rules have helped athletes to become more positive role models, while weeding out the lesser ones.
However, neither league is without its idiots. Much like the Plaxico Burress in the, "Oops I shot myself" incident, Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton have made idiot history.
I have never heard of an athlete storing a firearm in his own locker-room.
I have never heard of two players drawing firearms on each other.
Finally, I have never heard of two players, on the same team, drawing firearms on each other, in their locker-room, over a gambling debt.
You simply cannot make this stuff up.
As someone who works with inner-city youth, everything inside of me right now screams, "Write a rant on how impressionable inner-city kids are damaged by your idiocy, Gilbert and Javaris."
However, I will refrain from my rant and simply say, David Stern, please suspend these idiots for a very, very long ...
