Clint Capela Injury: Updates on Rockets Center’s Thigh and Return

Houston Rockets center Clint Capela is nursing a thigh injury and will miss Tuesday's game against the Miami Heat.

Houston's Frontcourt Decimated by Injuries Tuesday, Feb. 2 Not only is Capela out Tuesday, per the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen, but Houston will miss Montrezl Harrell (illness) and Dwight Howard, who was suspended for making contact with an official against the Washington Wizards, according to USA Today's Sam Amick. 

Josh Smith is expected to start at center with Terrence Jones coming off the bench, per Feigen. 

After making a grand total of 12 regular-season appearances during the Rockets' prosperous 2014-15 campaign, Capela has crushed that mark by playing in 49 games, including 35 starts, to date. 

Over the course of those outings, the Swiss big is averaging 7.5 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.
