The Cleveland Cavaliers have finally done it.

No, they weren't able prevent themselves from owning the NBA's record for longest consecutive losing streak in a single season.

No, they weren't able to keep themselves from breaking their own NBA record of longest consecutive losing streak spread over multiple seasons.

But what they were able to do tonight, with their uppity play and attitude, was to rob us NBA fans the dream match we've been anticipating for days.

A game so intriguing that former Cavalier LeBron James expressed that it should be nationally televised.

A game that had all the drama of a Game 7 of an NBA Finals.

A game so difficult to achieve, so similar to lightning striking twice at the same spot at the same time, so rare that it comes as often as Halley's Comet and possibly even less.

The game I'm talking about, of course, is the Cavs on a 27-game losing streak, playing in Cleveland on Sunday against the Washington Wizards, who are 0-25 in their road games this season.

This was to be the most epic matchup of near unbreakable records in recent NBA history ...
