When the Cleveland Cavaliers opened the season by beating the Boston Celtics 95-87, it seemed as though the critics had it wrong and that the Cavs could win without LeBron.
Then the Cavs went on to have one of the worst months in franchise history, and the reality of the situation became clear.
Even before Cleveland could finish losing 15 of 16 to end the year, they were being called out by the fans to blow it up and start again. But, Cavs brass believed things could still turn around—or so we thought.
On Wednesday morning, a league source said that trade talks involving Cavs forward Antawn Jamison were seriously intensifying.
These rumors then appeared to be confirmed when it was reported that representatives from the Lakers, Blazers and Pacers were in attendance for the Cavs’ 120-105 loss to the Toronto Raptors Wednesday night.
