A new report coming out of cbssports.com has Hornets GM Dell Demps saying that Paul did not make a trade request and that he fully expects Paul to be playing for the Hornets next season.
While some might say this is just a GM trying to gain leverage, the fact that Paul was quoted as saying that he likes “the direction they want to take the team” would suggest otherwise.
Looks like Chris Paul was sold on smoke and mirrors - we all know that the Hornets will not contend for the next two years, and are losing ground to other legitimate Western powers. With an owner intent on cutting payroll to try and sell the team, it is hard to believe that Paul really can buy into what the Hornets are selling about being ‘committed to winning.’
Sure they're committed to winning, just like Lindsey Lohan is committed to rehab.
