Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh, who was receiving treatment for a blood clot in his lung, has been released from the hospital.
Head coach Erik Spoelstra confirmed the news, via the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Ira Winderman:
Bosh checked into the hospital over a week ago. While he remains out for the rest of the season, it's good to see the Heat star return to his home and resume his non-basketball life.
The 31-year-old averaged 21.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks this season, proving to be a crucial piece for the team after the loss of LeBron James.
Anderson Varejao missed a large portion of the 2012-13 season due to a blood clot in his lung, and he was able to make a full recovery. Hopefully, this is the first step in Bosh making a similar comeback and returning for the start of the 2015-16 season.
