Jimmy Butler scored 23 points, Pau Gasol added 21 points and 13 rebounds and the Chicago Bulls led wire-to-wire in a 105-96 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Christmas Day.

The Bulls played well right from the jump, taking an 11-0 lead to start the first quarter. Chicago went up by as many as 14 in the second period, only to see the Thunder close the first half on a 15-3 run that trimmed the Bulls' lead to 54-52 at halftime.

That was as close as Oklahoma City got.

The Bulls started the third quarter with an 8-0 run to regain a double-digit edge, and by the end of the period, Chicago led 86-68.

The Thunder put a scare into the Bulls late in the fourth quarter behind some hot shooting from Anthony Morrow. Morrow buried three three-pointers in the final frame to help cut Chicago's lead to six, but the Bulls made some key stops and hit a couple of big buckets to stave off the rally.

Kevin Durant scored 29 points to lead OKC, and Russell Westbrook added 26 points and six steals. However, Westbrook shot just 9-of-23 and missed a career-high six free throws, going 7-of-13 from the charity ...
