Chicago Bulls Rumors: Free Agent Caron Butler Would Make Chicago a Contender

Derrick Rose is so disgustingly talented, just having him on the floor makes the Bulls a lock to go to the playoffs. 

Throwing Caron Butler into the mix wouldn't just make the Bulls a team in the East to watch, it would give them the boost they need to oust the Heat and break into the finals.

According to Yahoo!, Butler would like to go to either the Clippers or the Bulls. The weak pool of free agents has made lesser players hot commodities, but while Butler has a number of teams tugging at him, the Bulls are by far the best fit.

He would get to play with a point guard who could easily be the MVP next season. Chicago needs a boost, but they're on the cusp of something special right now.



Even though Butler is coming off of an injury and his production has regressed over the past few seasons, having Rose on the floor with him would allow him a chance to get back to the player he was with the Wizards, when he poured in more than 20 points per game in back-to-back seasons.
