Chicago Bulls Reportedly Aiming for Arron Afflalo Trade

It might not be a Carmelo Anthony sighting, but the Chicago Bulls are apparently already working the phones in an attempt to surround Derrick Rose with improved talent.

Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports that, "The Chicago Bulls are pursuing a trade for Orlando Magic swingman Arron Afflalo, league sources told Yahoo Sports."

Wojnarwoski notes that, "It is unclear how the Bulls' pursuit of Afflalo would impact the franchise's free-agent interest in New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony."

If anything, one would surmise that acquiring someone of Afflalo's ilk may actually aid in the pursuit of Anthony. The 28-year-old shooting guard would give the Bulls one of the league's more underrated two-way players. 

While playing for the Orlando Magic this season, Afflalo averaged 18.2 points on 45.9-percent shooting from the field. It was his most productive campaign yet, thanks in large part to the fact that he was leading the way for a young, rebuilding club. All the same, Afflalo's numbers don't lie.
