Chicago Bulls Look at Adding Brian Scalabrine

According to NBA.com, the Chicago Bulls have been in contact with former Boston Celtics Brian Scalabrine throughout the offseason. 

Scalabrine, 32, has played the last five seasons in Boston. Before that, Scalabrine was a superb role player for the New Jersey Nets.



Currently, the Bulls have 12 players on their roster. Adding Scalabrine would add a 13th body to the team, along with veteran leadership and cheers off the bench.

Another reason adding Scalabrine makes sense, is his relationship with former Celtics bench coach, and current Chicago Bulls coach, Tom Thibodeau.

Scalabrine, nicknamed 'Scal,' would root off the bench and provide leadership. The Bulls have two other power forwards on the roster, which could lead to Scalabrine getting a more enhanced role than he had in Boston.

With a career three-point percentage of .350, Scalabrine has been known to spread the court as a big man.

However, with Kevin Garnett getting the bulk of the playing time in Boston, Scalabrine has gone unnoticed.
