Chicago Bulls Fans Worried Kobe Bryant Might Surpass Michael Jordan’s Greatness

Thursday morning, I turn on ESPN 1000 AM in Chicago, and I get the news that Bulls fans are sporting Celtics jerseys. 

Obviously, they're wearing the green jerseys because they're rooting for the Celtics in Thursday night's Game Seven between the Lakers and the Celtics. 

But the point that Waddle and Silvy (the midday talk-hosts) made is that Bulls fans don't want Kobe Bryant to win his fifth NBA Championship title. If he does, he will be one title away from matching Michael Jordan's feat of six titles. 

Bryant will be closer to achieving what MJ achieved and will be close to surpassing Jordan's greatness. Bryant might be given the title as "the greatest basketball player of all times" and Bulls fans dislike that idea. 

As a Bulls fan, I don't want Bryant to be "better" than MJ. 

An article in the Chicago Tribune explains some great reasons why Bryant will never accomplish what Jordan accomplished, if you're not just looking at numbers. 

At the same time, Lakers' Lamar Odom laughed when asked about the comparison, saying there really shouldn't be a comparison.
