Chauncey Billups Comments on Working in Nuggets Front Office

Chauncey Billups would love to join an NBA front office if the right opportunity presented itself. One of those possibilities could be his former team, the Denver Nuggets.

In an interview with AM 1340 in Denver on Friday, the five-time All-Star said the ideal spot for him would be a franchise that's committed to winning.

"If the right role was available—and I've always made known, I haven't been quiet or private about it at all," Billups said, per Matt Moore of CBS Sports. "I've always had a passion to run a team, to put together a team. That's always been a passion of mine. I think I could do a phenomenal job at that."

Billups' best NBA years came with the Detroit Pistons, but he's a Denver native and was an important player on the Nuggets team that made the Western Conference Finals in 2009. The Nuggets won 33 games this year and are in the midst of a rebuild with a core of young, talented players like Emmanuel Mudiay, Gary Harris and Nikola Jokic.
