Channing Frye, Trey Lyles Ejected After Confrontation in Cavaliers vs. Jazz

The Utah Jazz defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers, 94-85, on Monday night, and there were plenty of fireworks late in the fourth quarter.

With Utah leading 86-75 at the three-minute, 57-second mark, Jazz forward Trey Lyles hit Cavaliers big man Channing Frye below the belt. Afterward, Frye got in Lyles' face, and the officials eventually ejected both players.



Jody Genessy of the Utah Deseret News recapped how the referees distributed the fouls:



The Cavaliers have had some rough patches lately, especially in games they feel they should win. On March 7, LeBron James said Cleveland wasn't playoff-ready. And now, after losing to the Jazz one day after an impressive road win over the Los Angeles Clippers, the frustration seems to have reached a boiling point with Frye and Lyles' confrontation.
