Casey Becomes 1st Coach to Win 200 Games with Raptors

Dwane Casey became the first head coach to win 200 games for the Toronto Raptors, earning his milestone victory with Thursday's 101-94 overtime win over the Indiana Pacers, per Sportsnet Stats.

Already the all-time Raptors leader in coaching wins, Casey has his squad headed for a third consecutive playoff appearance, needing just four more wins to top last season's franchise record of 49.

There's little doubt that the current team is the best in Raptors history, with its .687 winning percentage (46-21) stretching far beyond the .598 mark that it established last year.

Of course, the real test will come once Toronto gets to the postseason, as Casey's first two trips ended with first-round losses, including last season's ugly four-game sweep at the hands of the Washington Wizards in what was supposed to be a tight series.

The Raptors should be better positioned for success this time around, as they currently trail the Cleveland Cavaliers (48-19) by just two games for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, while sitting seven games clear of the third-seeded Atlanta Hawks (40-19).
