It has recently been reported that Carmelo Anthony, All-Star small forward, has been a major trade asset in a four-way deal involving the Denver Nuggets, New Jersey Nets, Utah Jazz, and the Charlotte Bobcats
It's said that Carmelo Anthony would be dealt to the Nets and the Nuggets would receive Derrick Favors from the New Jersey and Andrei Kirilenko from the Jazz in return. The Bobcats would receive Devin Harris from the Nets and the Bobcats would ship Boris Diaw to Utah.
Although this may make sense for every team, why would Carmelo Anthony approve of this deal?
He may be given big money, but they still would not be a good team. The only good player the Nets would have left would be Brook Lopez. They lost their solid point guard in Devin Harris and they lost their No. 3 overall pick, Derrick Favors.
So in essence, the Nets would be worse or the same to what the Nuggets are now. Doesn't Carmelo want to win a championship?
If he does, then the perfect fit for him would be Philadelphia. Just think about it.
