Carmelo Anthony: Report Says Denver Nuggets Forward Will Be Traded by February

Carmelo Anthony has been the center of attention for the Denver Nuggets all season long.

Will he walk?

Will he go all Chris Paul on us and suddenly re-sign with the Nuggets?

Or will the franchise ship him out for something in return?

Until now, none of these questions have been answered.

But, according to a report by Ken Berger on Wednesday, the Nuggets front office has made the decision to trade Carmelo Anthony if he is not re-signed by the February trade deadline.

One team in particular that would be able to supply the Nuggets with some young talent in return is the New Jersey Nets.

Berger mentions that a package of Derrick Favors, Devin Harris, Kris Humphries and two first-round picks could be on the table.

The Nuggets would love nothing more than to get something from their investment and avoid a Phoenix Suns-Amar'e Stoudemire situation from a season ago.

However, Carmelo has the power to kill any deals that are out there if he chooses not to sign an extension.
