The New York Knicks are coming off of a disastrous 17-win season, but superstar forward Carmelo Anthony expects a significant improvement in 2015-16.
When asked about the national media being down on the Knicks and their prospects for the upcoming campaign, Melo was defiant, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post: "I think we will be better than people predict. If you're predicting 27 wins, I laugh at that. We use that as kind of motivation. But it's a good thing to be under the radar."
The Knicks may not have particularly high expectations, but it's difficult to remain under the radar in the Big Apple. With Anthony returning to action, team president Phil Jackson steering the ship and new additions such as Robin Lopez, Arron Afflalo, Kristaps Porzingis and Jerian Grant looking to make a difference, there will be no shortage of discussion about the Knicks, regardless of how they fare on the court.
