C.J. Miles Injury: Updates on Pacers SF’s Calf and Return

Indiana Pacers small forward C.J. Miles is dealing with a calf injury as the team prepares for the stretch run of the season.

Continue for updates.

Miles Ruled Out for Monday's Game Monday, Feb. 22 Nate Taylor of the Indianapolis Star noted Miles' injury is a strained left calf and confirmed the small forward will not play Monday against the Miami Heat.

Miles has always been a solid role player during his NBA career and has been a starter at times during his second season with the Pacers. The 28-year-old is a solid three-point marksman who is shooting 34.7 percent from deep on 6.1 attempts per game in 2015-16.

All-Star forward Paul George is efficient from beyond the arc, and George Hill is also a reliable shooter from out there.

The small-ball lineups Indiana has turned to this season will suffer without Miles on the floor, though. He is a vital cog in terms of helping the Pacers offense with spacing, and he's a big reason why the team has seen success on that end of the court this year.
