C.J. McCollum Zings Dwight Howard with Stickum Joke After Late Houston Turnover

March 23rd, 2016 by Kyle Newport Leave a reply »

Given Dwight Howard's current stickum controversy, Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum couldn't help but take a jab at the Houston Rockets big man when he was unable to handle a pass late in Tuesday night's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

With the Rockets trailing by two points in the final 10 seconds, Houston guard James Harden tried to feed the ball to Howard near the hoop. However, the 6'11" center couldn't haul in the high pass, leading to a costly turnover.

And you better believe McCollum had something ready for the moment:

Too soon? Probably. But because this situation isn't too serious, we'll allow it.

Oklahoma City star Russell Westbrook went on to make both of his ensuing free throws after the turnover to extend his team's lead to 111-107, pushing the game out of reach in the final seconds at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
