It's no secret that the Chicago Bulls need a quality shooting guard to help take some off the scoring burden off of the reigning NBA MVP Derrick Rose.

The Bulls will target a shooting guard this free-agency period, and there are several quality players to consider. Several of them, however, are restricted free agents, which means the Bulls can have any offer matched by the team whose player they try to sign.

Let's look at the best fits at shooting guard for the Bulls and Derrick Rose.

 

1. Arron Afflalo

The Denver Nuggets guard won't bring a ton of offense to the Chicago Bulls, but he is an elite defender who can shut down many of the stop scorers in the NBA.



Afflalo did average 12.6 points per game last season for the Nuggets, and he stretched the floor with his good outside shooting.

Chicago would be smart to look at signing Afflalo, because he fits in with the defensive-minded approach Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau has of his team, and he will add some scoring.

He's also a restricted free agent.
