Bulls Feeling ‘Melo?

According to multiple media outlets, Carmelo Anthony has two preferred destinations: the New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls. Anthony would also like to be dealt before the 2010-2011 NBA season gets under way.

Carmelo Anthony landing with the Bulls would mean a new big three in the Eastern Conference: Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony, and Carlos Boozer. That big three has the upside to rivaling the Miami Thrice of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.

However, the Bulls would likely have to part ways with valuable assets like Luol Deng and Taj Gibson, along with a young prospect like James Johnson.

The Nuggets would also like to receive a few draft picks, if they are to part ways with Carmelo Anthony.

If Anthony were to land with the Chicago Bulls, their chances to contend in the NBA increase dramatically. Anthony gives the Bulls a player they haven't had in a long, long time; a guy who can score the basketball with extreme efficiency along with a post-up game from the Small Forward position.
