After Kyle Korver and the Chicago Bulls agreed on a three-year deal estimated at about $15 million, Gar Forman offered J.J. Redick a three-year, $20 million deal.
The Duke product has been highly touted as an ACC record holder, but has a reputation for being a less than stellar defender.
Redick played about 22mpg last year, recording 9.6ppg, and Chicago needs depth at the two guard positions, following a year of abysmal outside shooting.
With Derrick Rose penetrating the middle, having three-point shooters in Redick and Korver contains potential to put up solid numbers off the bench and stretch the court.
The 6'4" guard is noted for having exceptionally long range, and would add much needed depth. He would definitely see more playing time opposed to Orlando.
Otis Smith and the Magic aren't expected to match Chicago's offer, so expect the Bulls to attain a good bench and add another outstanding pure shooter.
