The Brooklyn Nets withstood a late rally from the New York Knicks on the way to a 98-93 win, Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.

Brooklyn's big three of Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez was excellent offensively, combining to score 64 points on 50 percent shooting.

Lopez led the way with 23 points, to go with eight boards. Johnson went for 22 points, eight boards and six assists. And Williams scored 19 while shooting 5-of-8 from three-point range.

The Knicks were led by Carmelo Anthony, whose 20 points came by way of 22 shots. Two of his 15 misses came in crunch time, when the Knicks were riding some momentum generated by Amar'e Stoudemire, who scored 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting.

Jose Calderon was also in double-figures, scoring 19 while shooting 5-of-6 from downtown.

The Nets will return home for their next game, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., against the San Antonio Spurs. The Knicks will continue their home stand against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
