Brett Brown Contract: Latest News and Rumors on Negotiations with 76ers

If there is one head coach in the NBA who can be forgiven for a dismal record, it is Brett Brown of the Philadelphia 76ers. Despite a slow start for the third straight season, the rebuilding franchise is reportedly interested in signing the coach to a new contract.

76ers Reportedly 'in Deep Conversations' with Brown Monday, Dec. 7 According to Tom Moore of Calkins Media, the 76ers announced Jerry Colangelo as the new chairman of basketball operations on Monday. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports noted that Philadelphia is still committed to Brown even with the management changes “and [that] a contract extension is very likely.”

Rich Hoffman of PhillyVoice.com confirmed that co-managing owner Josh Harris said the team is “in deep conversations” with Brown on that potential new contract.
