Sources have said that the Chicago Bulls have offered Celtics assistant coach, Tom Thibodeau, a three-year deal to replace Vinny Del Negro as head coach. Many close to Thibodeau have said that he has accepted the offer, but will be working on fixing a few minor issues with the contract being given to him.

According to sources, Thibodeau is expected to keep Pete Myers on his staff, and will bring with him former Bulls and current Thunder assistant Ron Adams. Other candidates for his staff include Thunder assistant Mo Cheeks, former Knicks assistant Andy Greer, and former Kings coach Eric Musselman.

The signing of Thibodeau will help the Chicago Bulls defense because the teams he has assistant coached for have finished in the top 10 total defense for 14 years. The signing of Thibodeau will also be to try to bring a big named free agent to the Chicago Bulls. One major connection to Thibodeau and golden boy LeBron James is that they are represented by the same agency, Creative Arts Agency.
