Brandon Jennings Injury: Updates on Pistons PG’s Recovery from Achilles Surgery

Detroit Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings is planning to return against the New York Knicks on Dec. 29 from his Achilles injury.

Jennings Due for a Return Before New Year Wednesday, Dec. 16 Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago reported the news of Jennings' plan.

The 26-year-old is a high-volume scorer from the point guard position and topped 15 points per game in each of his first six seasons in the league. Jennings also shot a solid 36 percent from three-point range last year on the way to 15.4 points per night for the Pistons.   

He is more than just a scoring threat for Detroit. He averaged 7.6 assists per game in 2013-14 and 6.6 assists in 2014-15, which were both higher than any marks he set in his prior four years with the Milwaukee Bucks.

The silver lining for the Pistons has been their depth at point guard between Reggie Jackson, Steve Blake and Spencer Dinwiddie.
