Boston Celtics Vs. Atlanta Hawks: Celtics Go for 12th Straight Win Tonight

The Boston Celtics will look for their 12th straight victory tonight, when they host the Atlanta Hawks.

The Celtics winning streak nearly ended last night at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks, but Paul Pierce nailed the game winning shot with just .4 left on the clock. The Hawks didn't look good at all in their last game, as they lost 103-80 at Detroit. The Celtics won the only previous matchup between these two teams this season, beating the Hawks 99-76 on their home floor. Looking at the NBA Spreads for this game, the oddsmakers aren't give Atlanta much of a shot, as the Celtics come in favored by 7 points over the Hawks at home.

Both teams are a little banged up, with key injuries to some of their best players. The Hawks will be without All-Star Joe Johnson and top backup Jamal Crawford. The Celtics will likely be without Shaquille O'Neal, Jermaine O'Neal, Kendrick Perkins and, possibly, starting point guard Rajon Rondo, who injured his ankle in the win over the Knicks last night.
