A 15-point lead at halftime was not enough to help the Atlanta Hawks (20-12) hold off the Boston Celtics (16-17) on Saturday night in Atlanta as Boston rallied for an 89-81 win.

The Hawks started off scorching and had a 31-18 lead after the first quarter. They turned that into a 53-38 lead at halftime. Then the third rolled around, and the Celtics cranked up the defensive pressure.

Boston began to trap the ball and force the Hawks into turnovers, stalling out the Hawks' offense.

The Celtics needed this win to try to build some momentum. Combined with their win on Friday over the Pacers, this is the first time they have claimed back-to-back games since November.
