Boston Celtics’ Big Three Expanding: Why Rajon Rondo is Now the Best Celtic

Even before last night's 24-assist, 10-point, 10-rebound triple-double, Rajon Rondo showed that he is the Boston Celtic's best player. 

Going back to last year's playoff run, Rondo put the Celtics on his back and they rode him to the NBA Finals as he averaged 15 points and nine dimes a game in the postseason.

Though he is not the best scorer on the team, even a fool can tell that Rondo is the straw that stirs the drink and has complete control of that offense.

The Celtic's big three was the main reason the team won their 2008 championship while Rondo was still learning the ropes, but now Rondo is the C's most dominant and important player going forward.

We've seen the Celtics make the playoffs and still do well with out Kevin Garnett, and the main reason was Rondo's great play. I can't see the C's making the playoffs and doing well with out Rondo; at this point in their careers the big three just can't create offense for themselves anymore with the exception of Paul Pierce at times.
