Block Party: Watch DeAndre Jordan Swat Beno Udrih’s Shot Into the Crowd

In the first quarter of the Los Angeles Clippers' 98-91 home win over the Sacramento Kings yesterday, Kings guard Beno Udrih decided it would be a good idea to try to throw up a layup and score some points.

Clippers center Deandre Jordan had different ideas.

After Udrih's spin move and floater, Jordan came from the side and swatted the ball all the way to midcourt.

What ever happened to the days of keeping the ball in play so your team has a chance to track it down? Bill Russell probably scoffed.

But I surely didn't. That was impressive. A warm LA welcome to the Northern California visitors. Complete with a side of hate.

What made the block more embarrassing for Udrih is Jordan swatted him to the ground after he swatted the ball out of bounds.

Jordan finished with four points, seven rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes of play.

Udrih finished with two points, three assists and two rebounds. He shot 1-for-10 from the field.

Think that blocked shot rattled him a bit?

Udrih is now averaging 11.6 points on 46 percent shooting and 4.2 assists in 30 minutes per game (19 games).

Jordan is averaging 5.0 points, 5.2 rebo ...
