Best Bargain-Bin NBA 2014 Free-Agency Options for Charlotte Hornets

Very quietly, the Charlotte Hornets are in position to strike in free agency once someone gets the ball rolling this offseason.

The Hornets have plenty of cap space to work with, and if this feels a little like Groundhog's Day, you'd be correct. 

Charlotte was able to nab Al Jefferson to the surprise of many last year, and at least so far, that jump into free agency has paid nice dividends. Once again, Charlotte could come on strong in free agency and land a marquee player. 

The only difference between this offseason and last offseason is that Charlotte is coming off a playoff appearance and has some franchise stability thanks to head coach Steve Clifford. With a fresh new look and a shaky Eastern Conference, the Hornets could be a major player in the offseason and beyond this year.

While the Hornets may wait for a player like Luol Deng or Trevor Ariza to look their way before filling out the roster and using their cap space, here are some bargain-bin signings they could make once a bigger piece is brought in.
