Simmons Won't Work Out for 76ers 'Unless Something Changes' Wednesday, June 15 Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported the news Simmons wouldn't be putting his talents on display for Philadelphia or other NBA teams.

The only thing that would likely prompt a change in Simmons' strategy is if he or his camp believes the Sixers won't take him No. 1 overall.

Philadelphia president of basketball operations Bryan Colangelo said on May 31 he knew who he'd take with the pick that day, and Philadelphia Magazine's Derek Bodner reported it would be Simmons, according to sources.

Although he failed to guide LSU to the NCAA tournament in his only year of college ball, there's no denying Simmons had an exceptional individual season.
