Boston Celtics guard Avery Bradley is dealing with a hip injury, and it is uncertain when he will be able to return to the court.

Bradley Out vs. Nets Sunday, Jan. 3The Celtics announced Bradley has a sore left hip and did not travel with the team to Brooklyn.

Bradley Once Again Dealing With InjuryBradley sat out games earlier in the season with a leg injury and has played more than 70 contests in only one year of his career.

He will be missed on the offensive end because of his ability to stretch the floor with his three-point shooting, but Boston needs his defense if it hopes to reach the playoffs for the second straight year. Bradley is frequently asked to defend the opponent’s best guard and is versatile enough to defend the ball-handlers and scorers.

Fortunately for the Celtics and their fans, the team has a number of guards who can shoulder more of the load while Bradley is out.
