Cavaliers 104, Hawks 93—Final

The Cleveland Cavaliers coughed up an 18-point lead but executed late for a 104-93 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night.

LeBron James powered home a breakaway dunk to give Cleveland a commanding 72-54 advantage in the third quarter. However, Atlanta ripped off a 35-15 run to edge ahead.

The Cavs responded during the final 4:10, though, using a 17-5 spurt to seal the win. LeBron scored 25 points, and Kyrie Irving added 21. Cleveland connected on 15 of its 31 three-point attempts.

Dennis Schroder netted a playoff-best 27 points and dished six assists, but the Hawks couldn't overcome a tough night from beyond the arc. They hit just 11-of-34 trifectas, and sharpshooter Kyle Korver only hoisted one shot.

Cleveland earned a 1-0 advantage in the second-round Eastern Conference series.
