Arron Afflalo Injury: Updates on Knicks Guard’s Hamstring and Return

As the New York Knicks seek to rebound from last year's disastrous season, a hamstring injury to guard Arron Afflalo will likely keep him out of action to begin the 2015-16 regular season.

Afflalo Could Be Out at Least 2 Weeks Sunday, Oct. 25 According to Ian Begley of ESPN.com, the Knicks are listing Afflalo as day-to-day after an MRI showed he has a strained left hamstring, even though he seemed less optimistic about that time frame.

"I want to say I guess I just have to give it another two weeks or so, but it's hard to judge," Afflalo said Sunday. "I'm just going to go based on how I feel and with what the medical staff tells me."

Per the Knicks' official Twitter account, Afflalo added that he's "feeling better, just disappointed" to be dealing with an injury three days before the season starts. 

Afflalo was one of many additions made by the Knicks this summer, along with free-agent signings Robin Lopez and Derrick Williams and No. 4 draft pick Kristaps Porzingis, in their effort to avoid another 65-loss season.
