Anthony Tolliver Injury: Updates on Pistons PF’s Knee and Return

Detroit Pistons power forward Anthony Tolliver was diagnosed with a sprained right knee on Monday after results from an MRI came through.

Tolliver Expected to Be Out for 2-4 Weeks Monday, Feb. 22 MLive.com's David Mayo reported the news on Tolliver, who was forced out of action after playing roughly eight minutes in Detroit's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday.

Prized trade acquisition Tobias Harris' arrival helps out the Pistons' depth at forward. Harris often plays at the 3 but can be a stretch 4 and is best suited there in head coach Stan Van Gundy's system. It will be interesting to see how Harris and starting PF Marcus Morris mesh down the stretch.



Tolliver is averaging only 19.8 minutes and 5.4 points per contest this season and is the epitome of a journeyman, having played for eight different teams since 2008.

Although his absence may not seem like much on paper, Tolliver is a valuable depth player whose injury shrinks the Pistons' bench considerably. Detroit announced on Monday that it rescinded a trade that would've landed Houston Rockets ...
