Anthony Davis Says Warriors Treated Game vs. Pelicans Like a ‘Scrimmage’

April 7th, 2015 by Ken Chin Leave a reply »

The New Orleans Pelicans are in a heated battle for a spot in the playoffs.

The Golden State Warriors have locked up the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference as well as the best record in the NBA.

So it's no surprise that Anthony Davis wasn't too happy with the Warriors after his team beat Golden State 103-100 in New Orleans on Tuesday night.

During his postgame interview, Davis claimed the Warriors treated the contest like a scrimmage, saying, "We kinda took that personal."

However, judging from the playing time of Stephen Curry (35 minutes), Klay Thompson (30) and the rest of the starters, Dubs head coach Steve Kerr looked to be coaching this game straight up.

In any case, the Pelicans currently hold the No. 8 spot in the West, and that's all that matters.
