Anthony Davis Injury: Updates on Pelicans Star’s Ankle and Return

New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis is expected to miss at least 10 days of action after suffering a Grade 2 ankle sprain during a preseason game in Beijing.

Davis' Foot Placed in Walking Boot For Recovery Wednesday, Oct. 12 Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated passed along a picture of Davis with a boot to protect his right ankle and noted that he's looking at a 10- to 15-day rehab period after suffering the injury during the team's preseason visit to China:



The Associated Press (via NBC Sports) noted that Davis originally re-entered Wednesday's game against the Houston Rockets after rolling his ankle in the first quarter but then decided he couldn't continue and left for the locker room.

The setback puts Davis in a race against time to make himself available for the start of the regular season. The Pelicans kick things off with a game against the Denver Nuggets on Oct. 26.

Pelicans fans likely hold their breath whenever Davis appears to suffer an injury.
