Andrew Bogut Injury: Updates on Warriors Star’s Toe and Return

Golden State Warriors big man Andrew Bogut suffered an injury to the big toe on his left foot in Friday's game against the Dallas Mavericks and would not return. It's unclear when he will return to the court.

Bogut out vs. Spurs Saturday, March 19 Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reported Bogut will not play Saturday against San Antonio.

Bogut Vital Part of Warriors Interior Defense This is another physical setback for Bogut, who suffered an Achilles injury earlier in the season.

The former No. 1 overall pick has been injury-prone throughout his career and played a full 82-game schedule only once since entering the league in 2005. That happened to come in his rookie campaign for the Milwaukee Bucks, and he hasn’t reached the 70-game plateau since the 2007-08 season.

Losing Bogut for extended time would be a difficult setback for the Warriors, because backup center Festus Ezeli had arthroscopic knee surgery this season and is a question mark as the team looks to defend its title.
