Andrew Bogut Injury: Updates on Warriors Star’s Back and Return

Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut suffered a back sprain Friday during the team's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Bogut Did Not Return Friday, Dec. 18 Bogut tweaked his back in the first quarter, per Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle. 

With the game tied 16-16, Bogut fouled Giannis Antetokounmpo at the rim with 6:39 remaining and headed for the locker room before Festus Ezeli replaced him. Bogut was listed as questionable, but he did not return to the game. 

Although Bogut's numbers have declined during his time with Golden State, he's still capable of providing valuable minutes for the reigning champions when healthy. Keeping him on the court has proven difficult, however, even with reduced playing time.

The 31-year-old Utah product played all 82 games as a rookie with the Milwaukee Bucks. Since that point he's accumulated an extensive injury history. While most of the ailments in recent years have been of the minor variety, he did deal with a concussion and lingering back problems this season.
